Kivuli Camp is the perfect place for an active holiday in the bush, or it can be your night’s stopover between Nairobi and the coast. In an area full of wildlife, we offer an inexpensive, charming and clean place to stay for all types of travellers. Camp in your own tent, sleep in bunk beds or in private rooms. We can accommodate individuals, families as well as large groups. Arrangements can even be made to enter with pets, to ride in by motorbike or fly in to our airstrip adjacent to the camp.

Kivuli Camp is situated in the heart of Rukinga Wildlife Sanctuary, one of the seven ranches that make up the Tsavo Conservancy.

Kivuli Camp was formerly known as Camp Tsavo and before that as the Taita Discovery Centre. We are proud to say the camp has been completely refurbished in our own Kivuli Camp style at the beginning of the year 2015!

We offer four different types of accommodation:

EnSuite Room

A variety of En suite bedrooms with the comfort of a private bathroom.

Family Banda

The family banda is a thatched hut containing one room with double bed, one room with twin beds and a bathroom shared between the two rooms.

Dormitory Banda

These thatched huts contain 4 wild wood bunk beds. Guests staying in the dormitory bandas use the communal bathrooms (these are separate for ladies and gents)

Kudu Campsite

Camp in your own tent under a tree on our shady campsite. At Kudu campsite we have clean communal flushing toilets and showers.
